I have a dog and a kitten in my current household. The dog wouldn’t stop sleeping and at first I thought it was just cause he was an elder, but then I adopted a kitten and now she won’t stop sleeping either. I have tried resetting the game, resetting the pet, and reloading the world. The pet will wake up for 30 seconds, then immediately go back to sleep.
