Whenever I move around a section of a building or the whole building on a lot, the entire building is highlighted in the pink outline like when you're building a residential rental or small business.
To fix it I have to switch the lot type from generic to residential rental, switching off unit outlines, then going back to generic.
Is this with or without mods/cc ? What platform are you playing on ?

it’s been happening to me too, with no mods or cc and on pc. it basically looks like if you have the businesses and hobbies pack but you can’t turn it off
I’m not OP, but I have the same issue. it primarily happens to me on Residential lots, after I press the “y” key. no mods/cc, playing on windows. I use the same fix mentioned above, switching to residential rental and then switching back.
