It happens on every empty lot and in every world after the latest update. I notice it most when I have a dining table with a plant or other decoration on top. If I go to place a floor underneath or change floor tiles, it deletes a chair and the item on top of the table. Sometimes, if I put it in the right spot, it will delete everything.
I am using no mods, no cheats. I have also tried fullscreen and windowed fullscreen to see if that had anything to do with it. I also "repaired" the game through the launcher and restarted the computer, and I have deleted the cache. The only thing that works is turning on the move objects cheat, but I don't like building that way, as I can't be sure that the Sims can use everything.
I have tried far away from walls and the edge of the lot. Like just a dining set in the middle of an empty lot, and the floor will delete it, even if the floor tile is on a completely different tile from the deleting object. It is also not just dining sets; it has happened with many other objects. I'm not positive, but it may only be on empty lots, as it is not happening on the lot my sim lives on.
It's pretty much unplayable for me now, as I like to build, and this is making me move a ton of furniture out every time I want to change the flooring.
