I'm trying the plant-a-sim quest for the first time, and my plant Sims (I tried with 2) don't have the option to absorb solar energy from plants. I've tried on many different plants at different time...
Ideas
My PlantSim has reached the top of the gardening skill and has about every type of plant (plus lots of spliced ones) but I can NOT get the "absorb solar energy" to appear no matter the time of day or level of energy she has left.
Its all I need to finish the scenario and it just won't appear!
I do not have any mods or expansions.
Are you clicking on the sim for the interaction or the plant? you need to click the plant.
I have tried both... it's never been an option. I've also tried wild plants and the ones I've grown. I've tried in and out of the planters... no luck.
Are all your plants in planters? You could try moving a few into the ground and try. Planters have been a bit buggy lately.

I just loaded up my save for the plantsim scenario and am getting the option to absorb. I have the enchanted by nature pack, so I don't think the issue is with that. I did complete the scenario.
Pretty sure that's because you have Enchanted by Nature, it was said earlier that buying it will handle the issue. I just loaded in for the third day without any option to absorb solar energy. Tested every way I could, in and out of planters, wild plants, becoming a plant sim again after losing it. There is no option. Honestly the scenario is usually glitchy with absorbing sunlight not being counted unless I go to Sulani and swim around in the sun to trigger it, then I can go back and it counts for the scenario. And the whole absorbung energy from plants has historically been problematic with any changes causing the option to be lost and requiring restarting the game just to get the option. I'm about to try with a fresh Sim in the household to try it with. It failed.
