I'm trying the plant-a-sim quest for the first time, and my plant Sims (I tried with 2) don't have the option to absorb solar energy from plants. I've tried on many different plants at different time...

I am having the same issue! So annoying :( Apparently the feature has been removed or is currently inactive. It must be a bug since the scenario still requires it to complete. So dissapointing!
