I'm trying the plant-a-sim quest for the first time, and my plant Sims (I tried with 2) don't have the option to absorb solar energy from plants. I've tried on many different plants at different time...

What is going on with this bug? I can't find an update after searching. I can't finish the Plant Sim scenario either.
