I just wanted to report a possible issue I’ve been noticing in The Sims 4, maybe since the Life and Death expansion (or possibly earlier). I’ve been experiencing FPS drops when near festivals. For example, in San Myshuno, if I move the camera around the city (not in first-person mode), I notice some stuttering. I’ve also seen the same thing happen in Cottage Living areas and in Ravenwood.
However, in other worlds, the game runs perfectly fine with no FPS drops at all.
I don’t think it’s my PC, as my specs should be more than enough to run the game smoothly:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
- RAM: 32GB
- GPU: RTX 3070
- Monitor: 1440p
- Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD
Just to be sure, I even did a full reinstall of the game without any mods, but the issue is still there. I’m running the game on DirectX 11, and I also tried switching to DirectX 9, but there was almost no difference.
