I asked someone else on the German game to test and for them it works normally.
Can you try the following:
- Go to the installation folder of the game
- Find the following file: > The Sims 4 > Data > Client > Strings_GER_DE.package
- Move that to the desktop
- Repair your game (this should recreate the file)
- Test again.
I've followed the instruction and tested again with a fresh new save file, but there's still empty text.
Switched my own game to German to test again and yes, it's missing for me too.
Wonder why it worked for the other user I asked to test.
