Hi, I’ve been playing The Sims 4 on PlayStation since before it became free-to-play. I really enjoy the game, but lately it feels increasingly unstable — especially after DLC updates.
Here are the recurring issues I’m experiencing:
Sims ignore queued commands.
Actions cancel themselves or Sims stand idle for long periods before responding
Autonomy overrides player input.
Sims stop critical tasks to perform unrelated autonomous actions.
Infant care interactions fail repeatedly.
Caregivers pick up infants, put them down, cancel interactions, or fail to respond to crying.
Animation glitches / T-posing.
Sims occasionally freeze or snap into unnatural poses that resemble animation errors.
These problems persist across multiple households and saves. Restarting the game does not consistently fix the issue.
I understand the game has many systems layered from years of expansions, but on console it currently feels unreliable and sometimes unplayable.
Are these autonomy and animation issues currently under investigation for PlayStation? Is there any plan for PS5 optimization to improve performance and stability?
I genuinely love this game and want to keep supporting it, but the current experience is frustrating.
Thank you for your time.
