I may have found a temporary bandaid.
In my household of five it was constantly a problem.
I went to the manage household window and moved out the sims one by one until only one was left.
I entered CAS with each sim, edited what needed editing and moved on to the next until I was done with all five.
Entered the house with one sim (mother & infant who had a beard). Saved.
Returned to map screen & open household management.
Moved the sims back one by one.
Entered house. Saved.
So far no random tattoos appeared. I also had to change their teeth because the nice CC teeth reverted to ugly default teeth. Finally they have nice smiles again!
After two sessions the bug returned but much smaller. Only one sim had a tattoo on a leg and later on a hand. But removing them works for abit. Unfortunately changing teeth seems impossible. The game changes the teeth when leaving CAS no matter what I select. Its always basegame teeth. Which wouldnt be a problem if they looked like actual teeth, not like least amount of effort low texture plastic.
There is one sim I just cant edit when it comes to certain pieces. I found a way to finally prevent the change of tattoos. I got a mod that displays which body part slot is used and sorts the items accordingly. But the category placeholder can act like an empty tattoo and so far that sticks. Somehow the game accepted the teeth I selected. But its still removing a vital face accessior.
Even moving the other sim in the household out and saving the one sim to the gallery doesnt work. This bug is transfered to the gallery it seems.
I had to get a mod to see default alpha teeth because the game kept reverting most teeth back to base game teeth. Usually I dont use default teeth. But I had to in this case.
