I thought it might be mod-related in my game - instead of going into CAS and changing one of my same-sex couple to be able to get the other pregnant, I used MCCC to create the pregnancy. I always do same-sex pregnancies this way, because sometimes I want to switch which parent in the couple gives birth.
The child is showing as a secret child, and the one that didn't give birth is listed as step-parent.
Thanks for testing it in an unmodded game, so at least I know it's not a mod that's causing it.
