No, I did not. I only have one household in this brand new game. I'll try it in a few, thank you for the suggestion. I shouldn't have to, of course, for the game to work properly, but that's The Sims 4 for ya.
It would still be an issue if it's only not working for that one household but it will be easier to check what's causing it. Testing multiple is always to try out if it's s a Sim/Household issue or just a general buggyness.
