i found some old forums on this from a couple years ago and before it was neighborhood stories related (based off what i found), so im guessing this could be the case again. as old bugs often come back in the same form. they did update neighborhood stories with the lovestruck patch to include relationship changes. I am currently reinstalling my game and will play test with neighborhood stories off. im not actually sure this is gonna fix this bug, but im willing to try.
I was also going on these forums and I think we just have to wait the next update.. I hope this could be resolve this week..
