This happened to me, too. Whenever I loaded into a lot via build mode and tried to take a pic, it crashed my game. I downloaded a bunch of pose mods to take pictures, so I was worried that this was caused by them. After tinkering around, the bug resolved when I went into live mode and took a screenshot to test it. It was fine. Then I went to a nightclub lot, did the same thing. Also fine. Then back to the lot I crashed on multiple times - also fine. The glitch seems to be fixed, and is working on subsequent reloads.
I don't think this will be the fix for everyone, and I'll have to test things out without mods should it happen again. But I hope this method can help at least one other person.
