Shadows on floor of second level from walls of first level

Hello !

Since 2024/08 I have a problem with "the sims 4".
In the house, I need platforms ; when I add stairs, there are shadows on the floor upstairs, and these shadows are identical as the walls of the ground floor.

I tried "repair"  "the sims 4" with EA app

I don't have mods/cc/reshade

I tried "uninstall"  "the sims 4" with EA app

I did all the updates

But that never changed. I give you pictures

Can you help me please?

(I don't speak English very well, but I hope my message is understandable)

Hi, sorry for posting on an older thread. I hope you got this figured out already. If not, and for future readers, I found a workaround .

Those shadows are issues with the platform walls on the first level. As a workaround to hide the shadows, raise the platform on the second level. Another way is to try using taller half walls on the lower platform instead of full walls.

  • In my build i have a basement with medium walls and platforms 3 ticks high. However no matter how high or low, the floor above the largest basement room has a lighting glitch matching the perimeter of the walls.

I suppose the weird glitches add to my haunted movie theater but its not my ideal choice.

I have the same problem except walls in the basement are making shadows of their shape that show through to the first floor. I tried to hide it with darker tile but even it shows through even the blackest tile in the game, the black bathroom Grounded Tile pattern.

    greetings !

I have the problem with basement walls which create a shadow-like line on the first floor.            It's visually unattractive and it annouys me in the long run.
