Sim keeps putting infant down before putting them in crib et al.

Issue is happening to me as of today. The sims are constantly putting the infant down. I’ll tell them to put the kid in the carrier and they place them down on the ground. There are times when they’re not even holding the infant and I tell the sim to go do something and they go and pick the baby up while the action that I told them to do is still queued. Then they still put the infant back down anyway. The child is sleep deprived with sleep in the red and I can’t get the sim to give the infant a nap without jumping through hoops. It’s such a pain playing musical chairs with infants.
