Sim keeps putting infant down before putting them in crib et al.

In several saves now, after an infant gets put on a playmat by a caretaker and starts to look at toys, the caretaker autonomously stops doing what is in their queue and starts to go to the infant to put the infant down (on the floor). After this, even if the caretaker's action is canceled before he/she has reached the infant, the infant can no longer look at the toys. The only choice the infant has on clicking on the playmat is to "be carried here".

I was able to break the cycle of caretaker autonomously wanting to put the infant down/have the action canceled/wanting to put the infant down by having the infant look at another object in the room, but the infant can still not interact with the playmat to look at toys.

Same exact issue too.  It's super annoying.  Makes the game unplayable for me as I am a generational gameplayer.  Because of it being so bad I can't even play the game which is super sad because I love playing the sims 4.  Sadly, I have been making builds until they address this issue.  🙁😞

Wont let me pick up my infants and wont let me go to the bathroom and nothing is in the way I have done two repair games and no mods in and wont let do anything gameplay and she just stands there . like i am gonna lose these kids because of this.

Seems to still be an issue. And has been ever since infants were first introduced into the game....🤬😤

Sims now place Infants on the floor far less often, and they are also not placed on the floor when attempting to hand them to another Sim. Caregivers may still occasionally put Infants on the floor to adjust positioning for certain interactions (like Tummy Time). This behavior is expected since Infants can’t move.

Fixed in Patch 1.124.54/2.33
