Sim revert back in age when travelling after aging up

I found a sim in this save I could set up closely to the way I had the simology panel error the last time.  Once again, I had the sim use the birthday cake right before leaving for work.  The difference from last time was this sim was aging to elder from adult, not from YA to adult.  Not trying to bore you with details, just point out it was a different age group.

This sim's panel when she returned home stayed correctly at the elder stage and didn't revert back to adult.  I didn't have to take her into CAS to get it to read correctly.  In my game, this appears fixed based on results.  Traveling right after aging up worked as expected and didn't cause an issue.

The father of my current household keeps reverting to young adult when travelling. His tag says young adult,  and he looks like a young adult, but he should be an elder. 

When i click on him with MCC he shows as an elder there with 18 days left until he dies. 

I do play with mods including MC command centre and UI cheats. I have not used any cheats to age him up prior to noticing the issue. I then tried to age him up again with MCC since he is going to die soon, and upon travelling to Tartosa for my sims engagement dinner he aged down to young adult again.

I play the game on PC and have the newest version of the game. I had the same issue once a few weeks ago when I was playing unmodded, with my sims wife constantly aging down to young adult  from elder. I eventually ended up killing her off to avoid the bug. I thought it was the sim that was bugged but now its happening again.

I have the same issue. After aging up to an adult or an elder, my sim kept reverting to her Young Adult stage. Even after changing her clothes after she aged, when she reverted to Young Adult, her clothes changed back too.

The issue is happening for me even after she died. I set her to be a free-roaming ghost and when she appears on the lot she shows up as a Young Adult who's alive, though still floats around and glows like a ghost. I used to be able to reset the lot by going into Manage Worlds and then playing in the household again, and that would fix it, but that doesn't help anymore.

I know the game updated earlier today for me, so it's on the latest version, and I also play on PC through the EA app.

Really strange and annoying bug.
