After 13th January 2026 update this started happening:
I play on PC with no mods, and this is happening in more than one saved game.
I have a lot of 8 sim households so I serve a lot of food. I click on the fridge and ask them to serve food. The sim goes though the animation untill they need to use the oven, at which point they get as far as putting the frying pan on the oven, and then the whole thing stops.
If I ask my sim to 'Resume Pancakes' the sim won't do it.
I thought it meant there was somthing bugged about the oven, so I'd ask another sim to serve a food that didn't need the oven. and that bugged too. That case they'd get as far as getting to the chopping board aimation, but no further. Asking the sim to 'Resume Garden Salad' and again the sim won't do it.
Very strange.

- are these all completely different saves or always the same house ?
- Did you never have mods/cc or remove them ?
- Did you try replacing the oven ?

I tried some of the soltions in the thead and no dice. But the issue was gone when I treid to play another day.
