Sim won't stay in bed

After updating my game and installing the latest expansion, Royalty and Legacy, my sims would not stay in bed at all, for sleep or napping. They would be exhausted and still unable to .

No TV or stereo in the room, and all mods are disabled at the moment. No pets and the bedroom door is not an arch.

I tried resetting the sim and changing the bed, but nothing changed. I also tried restarting the game.

My sim lives in an apartment in Dambele not a house. Bright Cliff Apartments.

Game version: 1.121.361.1020.

I did not have the problem before the  Royalty and Legacy related updates.

    Hi Sasso0o85

as there's a few different issues with this:

    • Is this for Sims in a double bed only or also single bed Sims ?

It is a double bed and my sim is not sharing it with others.

I checked now with a single bed, and my sim can sleep on that.

    Hi Sasso0o85

merging this with the thread for Sims not in a relationship then.

Could you send your save to EA.

The reason I thought it should be a separate issue is that it started after the most recent updates. The issue you linked it to is a year old.  So, it could be for an entirely different reason.

It's always possible that there are different reasons that's why you need to send your save. You can find the instructions in the first post.

If the cause is unknown it's best to have one thread so it gets enough votes for EA to look into it. They can always be split up again later if different reasons occur.

If you do know what's causing it in your case, please do share.

I switched to a premade household and found the sims  there able to sleep normally. so, went back to the household with the problem, and my sim started to sleep normally too.

So it is either the switch that fixed it, or making my sim sleep on a single bed fixed her somehow, or a successful sleep of other sims.

So, if you have the problem, try switching households. I think it is likely what resolved it for me

That does sound like the issue that's existed for a while. Switching households or sometimes just reloading the game fixes it.

that is not a solution tho. it makes the bug go away fot that time, but it keeps happening.
