The reason I thought it should be a separate issue is that it started after the most recent updates. The issue you linked it to is a year old. So, it could be for an entirely different reason.

It's always possible that there are different reasons that's why you need to send your save. You can find the instructions in the first post.
If the cause is unknown it's best to have one thread so it gets enough votes for EA to look into it. They can always be split up again later if different reasons occur.
If you do know what's causing it in your case, please do share.

I switched to a premade household and found the sims there able to sleep normally. so, went back to the household with the problem, and my sim started to sleep normally too.
So it is either the switch that fixed it, or making my sim sleep on a single bed fixed her somehow, or a successful sleep of other sims.
So, if you have the problem, try switching households. I think it is likely what resolved it for me

That does sound like the issue that's existed for a while. Switching households or sometimes just reloading the game fixes it.
