Since I updated my game, it won’t load past the screen that says "The Sims 4," and I keep getting an "Application not responding" message. I’ve tried everything: I removed my mods and custom content, but that didn’t work. I also attempted to repair the game, but that didn’t help either. Finally, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game, yet I’m still experiencing the same issue. Is anyone else having this problem?
Ideas
Sims 4 won't load
- crinrictHero+Status changed:NewtoTroubleshooting
Try the following
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
