I've noticed that my Sims are using romantic interactions autonomously such as flirting, blowing a kiss, etc. more often after the September 18th update. These sims do not have romance bars, do not have romantic or lovebug traits, and are not in flirty moods.
I have unflirty sims using romantic interactions frequently, and even sad sims are using romantic interactions which should be locked. I have tested this by turning off mods in the game settings and taking out mods altogether but the bug seems to persist.
Any advice is welcome. Thank you!

After some more digging, I believe something could be bugged with Lifestyles? I tried checking for hidden buffs on my Sims with MCCC and found that they have an underlying Romance lifestyle, despite me having Lifestyles turned off in the Game Settings. I know of another Sabotage! bug which could be related to the Technophobe lifestyle too. Hope this helps narrow the search.
no this is not caused by lifestyles. if you visted a community lot, you'll see everyone flirting, regardless if they are married or not
I've noticed this as well. It gets frustrating when I have 2 sims casually talking and all of a sudden, they start flirting with each other. For instance, one of my werewolves tried flirting with a sim she was talking to (who wasn't her fated mate) and now she has this tense moodlet. Another instance where a father-in-law and daughter-in-law started flirting even though they were only have a casual conversation. I haven't really had this problem until recently. Honestly, I'd prefer the autonomous mean interaction over romantic as it's easier to fix a negative friendship instead of getting rid of a romantic bar (without cheats).
I have stepparents flirting with adult stepchildren often. It's disgusting!
I've been getting this issue a lot. It sucks because my sims that date have problems because they randomly flirt with other sims. Sooooo annoying.
