Same exact problem on PC/EA App! I just started a completely fresh save with no mods or CC to test this issue. I am trying to completely recreate the sitituation in which it happened earlier down to the same NPCs and my sim with the same traits. I then will test with another completely different couple. I will be back with an update!
Edit: So far, still the same issue. I just married my sims (same household) at the romance festival, then literally a few minutes later the husband started chatting with another sim and randomly flirted with that sim, which then broke his wife's romantic boundaries and now they are "thinking about a divorce". The husband was not in a flirty mood at the time of the flirtation, only happy. His traits are Hates Children, Foodie, Loves Outdoors plus the bonus trait of "Lovebug" he got when he started dating my sim. Before they even started dating I went in and removed the dislike for affection, so now all other romance related likes/dislikes are neutral.
