Sims forget already existing relationships

The game undoes the relationships I build. This is not fair. I spend hours playing and when I change families this happens. Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title to fit old bug report.

I like to play multiple sims households. I also like to use clubs to make friends. However, every time I switch households my relationship with the Sims in said club disappear. All my progress lost. I don't know if anyone else experiences this but it is frustrating when I want my Sims to have multiple friends.
