Sims get leftovers. Then go talk to someone and don't even eat

As the title says.... My sims' hunger is usually in the red by the time they decide they're hungry.... They get a plate of food from the fridge, then put it on the table to talk to anyone in the family, ignoring their stomach. When I 'auto-solve' their hunger, they go back to the fridge and ignore what they previously grabbed. I do have UI Cheats and such, but come on.... Autonomy is enabled for all and they should know how to care for their needs. Maybe my sims are just a bunch of _______..... You can fill in that blank.

I also play with cheats enabled.

  • Just now my sim autonomously sat down to play the piano and hit one key and then stopped cold. Does everything I have been saying need to be reported as separate issues even if they started happening at the same time? There is really something screwy going on since all of this started. Now this happened.

When he finished the piano he played his violin with emotion. I cancelled his playing and this wall notification popped up. And as you can see, he already has that trait which he earned as a child or teenager. Anyway, I am not going to post anymore until I know this is going to be considered one issue or posted individually. I also have a video to share that occured right before this when he was with his wife. She got a thought icon with his head in it and the thought bubble kept shaking/stuttering. Sorry, it's just so much at once and I forgot all of this was going on and couldn't catch them the first time.

  • This problem is going on in my game too. It seems consistent across households so far. A sim will go to the fridge and grab a leftover, then place it on table or counter and go back to the fridge and grab something else. It is possible other sims have distracted them as well, but I may not notice that as much since that is what they do. When they started doing what I described above, that definitely grabbed my attention. So far I have seen it in two households. This is a recent thing that started happening. Maybe three or four days ago.

No mods or cc ever on current install and game is up to date and has been since update was released. I cleaned files and caches but need to test further and across households to see if it helped. I will post back results once I have.

Actually there are a few things that I think should be added to this because they all started happening around the same time. The sims can't seem to stay focused is what I am seeing. The finish eating or having a drink from their bar and go to clean up dishes, and just lay the dishes down anywhere and move on to their next thing. I have to tell them two and three times to clean up before they finally manage to do it. This is in multiple households, three so far anyway.

Just now I had a sim take a mindful walk because it was one of her wants. I'm tending to other sim meanwhile and then I notice the sim on the mindful walk is playing her violin. So click on her to take me to her and tell her to do the mindful walk again as it is still showing as he want. she starts walking and the first sim she comes across she stops and starts chatting. This is with a full social bar she had already.

I have also noticed them losing focus a lot when told to do something. It is not 100% consistent but often enough to make me want to scream. I am not sure how it all can be related but I know for a fact this all started around the same time.  Also, my sims are all of a sudden fixated on the Pottymouth 2.0 toilets. I will tell them to do stuff and they will stop and run to the toilet and thinking it is so cool. That was originally a reaction from them and then nothing. They have lived in the house and there have 6 or 7 pottymouths in the house all along and now out of nowhere they're getting all excited about it.

I am going to add, for full disclosure, that I just turned one of my longtime sims into a vampire. And ever since there has been some funky lag with him and his wife doing anything. Like they will stand there and it seems like things just stop, then suddenly start again. I did not have this going on prior. That was why I initially cleared caches and such. Maybe it has nothing to do with the vampire and just a part of this other funny business going on. Do small updates get pushed through that I don't see that would cause stuff like this all of a sudden? If not I just do not understand how all of sudden a bunch of stuff like this could start happening.

    Hi HillyPlays

Please move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Once you've done that, test the game.

Let me know if you're still having issues on a clean vanilla save as well.
