Sims get stuck trying to fish

after the latest update I continued playing as normal in a rags to riches save, but something strange was happening when I tied making my sim fish, they stood still and got the notification for the fishing skill and briefly had the fishing skill bar over their head but the action never showed in the queue and never actually happened. This happened in Willow Creek and I tested it in other worlds and it didn't work either. Clicking on the fishing sign itself and the water both had this happen. The only cc I have is cas and I even tried removing the cc and the problem still happened.

    Edit: I fixed the problem by removing all of my pack files and the game started working again. I don't know which packs caused it but for now I would rather play without them until am official happens. The weird thing is that it was also causing my sims to dance nonstop when I tried getting them to talk with one another and when I could get them to do something they would freeze and never end the action.

    What platform are you playing on ? Could you show a video of what you mean by the dance ?

    Try the following

    - Close the game
    - Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    - Repair the game
    - Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. 
    - Start a new save game
    - Check if you still have the error
    - Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
