Sims keep freezing

After completing the new update on the Sims 4, I'm constantly having to reset them. They all just stop moving. I have no mods on my game, no old files or saves as I got so fed up with it I removed everything and re-installed the game, created a new household of one and it just keeps freezing. No idea what to do.

Hi everyone ! Hope you're doing great 😊✌️Last time I did a post here was 4 months ago. In my case, nothing changed at all (even with the latest update). I haven't played to the sims since that period of time. Today, I tried going back to the game and all my sims are still freezing. I tried everything (make a save to make my actions work but it doesn't change a thing). I'm just really disappointed at this point.. I bought a lot of new DLCs that I can't even play 🤡

Honestly, I'm starting to lose hope on this case. When I see all the bug reports on the forum I just think that the team will never get enough time or effort to make it work for everybody. It's honestly impossible !!  And yet, they keep selling new packs and it creates even more bugs than ever before.

I'm starting to think about buying the Sims 3 again with the medieval DLC just to bring back a little bit of memories and stop playing to the actual game😂

  • For several months, my sims will freeze and just stand there for several in-game hours  while the world around them passes by like normal. Then, when they unfreeze, they will cancel whatever actions I commanded them to do. It's becoming increasingly frustrating. I do not play with mods or custom content, I have repaired my game multiple times. Sometimes, even when they aren't freezing, they just flat out won't do what I command of them for no reason. I also noticed the autonomous function has been lacking. Even NPC's just stand around doing nothing. I haven't disabled autonomy in my settings at all.

  • It happened a few times where my sim would freeze (stand completely still without any movement) when I played yesterday. After a few resets it would fix itself. But when it happened again today no amount of resetting her or her horse (that she was interacting with at the time) fixed either of them. Another sim in my household was fine during that time though. It was just her and the horse that froze and refused to move no matter what I told her to do.

I have no CC or mods, and have never had any installed. Nor have I ever messed around with any game files. Is this a new game bug that came with the latest update or just my game? This has never happened in my game before.

  • After the base game update and the Enchanted by Nature pack and nature's calling event started, my sims have been freezing up. I don't have any cc or mods installed.

Suddenly, and without a correlation in what they were doing, one sim in my family freezes up and doesn't do any of the tasks, I queued. The problem is, when one sim freezes one by one the rest of the family starts freezing too and I have to reset them until I find the one who initially froze up. If I reset one that wasn't the first to freeze it doesn't work, I have to reset patient zero - so to speak.

I have noticed going on walks with my dogs does set it up more often than other tasks. The family I've been playing with is living in the horse ranch world on the biggest lot and includes a ghost, 2 other sims and 2 dogs, in case that makes a difference.
