sims live in a residential formerly haunted house and keep getting terrified

my 2 adult sims in my household continue to get terrified. it used to be a haunted house but I changed it back to just a normal residential. its be at least a day in the sims and all the haunted stuff has stayed their is still the ghost walking around. the creepy dolls are still terrifying them and all the other little things. my game is up to date and my Mac computer is up to date on updates. this is my first time playing with the haunted house stuff so any tips with that could be appreciated.

    Could you please provide the following information

    • Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
    • Do you have both a Mac and a Windows PC and it occurs on both of them ?
    • Which nieghborhood are you playing in ?

    I don't use mods or cc in my game. I only have Mac. the sims live in Henford-on-bagley in new old Henford.
