I have a few keepsake boxes for my Sim's descendent, but since having the boxes when my Sims put away food they put it in there instead of the fridge. So far that has wasted some food. My Sim has a traveler's trunk too, but nothing has been put there. I'm nervous the food could've gone in there too.

Are you using mods/cc in your game ?
I have my sim order a pizza. The Pizza sim arrives and delivers the pizza, not problem...my sim sets the pizza on the counter. Then instead of taking a slice, I had my sim "put away" said pizza...but she walks right by the fridge, goes upstairs into the library and puts the pizza in the bookcase...when i open the bookcase inventory there is no Pizza, nor is it in the fridge's inventory. So, this cheese pizza has somehow fallen into the void. No idea how it happened, it's never happened before. Doesn't seem to break the game or cause any other issues. Just a missing Pizza. but just thought I would report it.
UPDATE: so the next sim day my sim autonomously goes to get the Pizza that is in the bookcase, However, the pizza isn't actually in the bookcase, it is in the keepsake box that is op top of the Bookcase. And they are unable to remove it autonomously, so i get error messages. Still don't know why or how my sim was able to put a pizza in the keepsake box instead of the fridge.
My food has gone missing recently. I cook for a sims family of 7, so you could understand how annoying this is when I am trying to stack food in the fridge. Whenever I command my sims to “put away food” they will autonomously put food in keepsake boxes. Causing me to lose the food because it spoils and this is recent they used to put dirty dishes in these boxes but now they are putting just made food. I guess I could move the box maybe further away but my maid does this autonomously. I get the keepsake boxes are for all storable items but I don’t think they should be able to put food in there. Part of the new annoying part is not being able to drag these spoiled plates to the trash. Found like 6 dishes in the keepstake box spoiled had to manually trash them.
I was wondering where all my books disappeared to, turned out my sims put them into the storage chests instead of into bookcases. They also occasionally put grilled meals in there instead of in the fridge.
One of my sims has the childish trait and owns the talking llama toy and he keeps putting it into the keepsake box instead of back into his inventory.
I was wondering why all my sims had no fun across multiple save files, all the books were put into chests/boxes X /
Please fix this, as I play a game with books being the primary fun (bookworms and no tvs/computers on lot). And I use storage chests as decor and a means of inventory organization.
