I can not put items in the fridge using "put away". I can only drag the items into the fridge.

I have the same problem. Multiple households, not playing a scenario. Different fridges. Attempted with different sims. They just give you the wavy arm ‘blocked’ signal and put the plate back down. Can use all other elements of fridge without issue.
