Sometimes my sims will not put dishes in the sink or dishwasher, they will just pick them up and put them back down a few seconds later. I have tried rearanging my kitchen and it hasn't worked. This has only started since I moved them into an apartment. This is really frustrating and I can't find any way to fix this.
Could you check if you have any dirty dishes on shelves. That usually causes this symptom. Same for half walls.
I think you're right about the half walls cos it does seem to trigger when the dishes get put onto a half wall. My sims will move them from there and they still won't clean them up though but I think the half wall could be a cause
There's several know issues so there could also be something on shelf somewhere which would explain why it still doesn't work. They put them there but can't retrieve.
I was having the same issue with sims not loading the dishwasher (it was at the Pancakes lot). The half walls had dirty dishes on them. Your solution fixed it. Thank you!
