Usually sending them back a second time generally works, and only seems to affect one sim at a time, but it is annoying having to do it twice constantly
I've gotten this for quite a while in the game, as well. I'm not sure if this is a byproduct of intended behavior or not, but I agree it does get old fast -___-
My sims did that one time, send him to bed and then he would get back up. The problem was I forgot I had left a radio on in the room he was sleeping in. When I turn it off then he was able to get some sleep.
