Situational and NPC outfits generating with random hats

Thanks everyone. One more question — if those random hats and accessories appear on someone you’re not currently playing with but who belongs to one of your households, can you remove them from their head? As I mentioned, I can’t — they don’t show up in CAS, and when I use “Change Outfit” in live mode, I can see they’re equipped in every outfit. Luckily, I didn’t save the game and quickly reset it, so they don’t have them anymore. But honestly, I’m now afraid to travel anywhere that has playgrounds or interactive objects.

cicounek​ for me when I go back to that household they do not have them on, its only when I'm not playing with them and they visit or I see them out and about even the NPC have them on when I'm out.

That's been my experience. I've been trying to paint self-portraits of my Sim's various career outfits. But she returns from work wearing her astronaut helmet, and I can't remove it in CAS.

It doesn't seem to affect her interactions with other Sims, but it sure is annoying me.

This bug is affecting NPCs in the detective career also.

I am also dealing with the same issue. Even in a vanilla game. the mascots at university do not wear their masks. Spooky costumes are all different random hats as well. Situation and career outfits all have weird headwear. Sims 4 has gone so downhill its becoming unplayable.

If you have MCCC, click on the Sim that is wearing the hat, Click on MCCC, Go to MCCC dresser, Click on Randomize Part, then you can choose Hat and it will disappear.

I should perhaps wait until the patch releases to make this comment but I was reading the laundry list and while I am happy to see this is on it, I see it listed as "Patients and Ranch Hands will no longer arrive in random hats." which is not the whole of the issue, it is clearly impacting more than just those two instances

I will revisit this after the update but wanted to note it in case this is only partially solved

Summer Holiday from the Base Game is always wearing a helmet with her career outfit.  Vanilla Game.

Patients and Ranch Hands will no longer arrive in random hats.

Fixed in Patch 1.119.109/2.23

There were other outfits mentioned so this might not be fully fixed. Also, it might not fix existing broken Sims.

Please do create a new thread if you see new Sims with this or if you have this on a new save.
