Skin Effects Glitch

thesupersilly​  Have you perhaps used the short dirty nails on this sim?  I ask because there's a bug report about it here:

Some users are saying the nails don't have this effect until they also choose the new shine skin detail, but that removing the nails fixes it, in case that helps.

If your issue is the same, let me know and I'll merge your post with that thread.

This is happening to one of my Sims - no CC or mods. Not using the short dirty nails. Also happening to a family member - same set up, no short dirty nails.

Could you post a pic and upload your Sim to the gallery posting the name ?

Sorry I'm late on this! Here's a couple pictures. The Sim is uploaded to simchild's gallery and is the Winslow family. Or here's a link also

It comes and goes so they couldn't be saved to the gallery looking like this. Sometimes it goes away if you zoom in and out or vice versa. Sometimes it only happens to them when you're zoomed out and once you zoom in close it goes away and they're fine. In the second picture it has went away but the UI headshot is still all glitched.

Can you send me your save ? The uploaded sim doesn't have a job and hence no career outfit.

Eek, she does have a career - she's level 8 in the new one from Enchanted By Nature, maybe 9. She was working at home with clients when I took the screenshots. I will send you the save file through message! Because it's happening so randomly, this is maybe going to be hard to recreate, I'm afraid.

I've checked her work outfit and that does indeed have the dirty nails.

You can switch them out with this cheat: sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas

This should take you to CAS with the work outfit. Go to nails and change them. Save the changes.

Let me know if that fixes the issue.

I forgot to check her over - she is actually my family member's Sim that the same issue has been happening with. You're right, and I see now she's got dirty nails beyond the career outfit as well. I missed seeing the nails when they showed me it happening with various outfit states on their PC. I'm very sorry about that misinformation!

So it's my Sim that doesn't have dirty nails. (for sure now, haha, and she doesn't have a career) I haven't played enough lately to gather screenshots of this happening to her yet.
