Smooth Apology Always Available

A werewolf sim scared a werewolf ally by being in a rampage, somehow. Ever since then, 'smooth apology' has been regularly available. I don't know if that's truly the issue, but I have another theory:

Both sims have jealousy turned off. I enjoyed New Year's with these two sims, plus two other sims who also have no jealousy. I dropped a lot of pick-up lines for the New Years event between my three guests, so perhaps the game thinks that, since under default jealousy preferences that would've been cheating, my sim has something to apologise for? If so, I really don't like that it's counting that as a transgression.

I think the apologies and insults are happening because there are sentiments that do "undying grudge" in the internal data, ,so please tell me how to erase those emotions.

Once a negative sentiments such as "undying grudge" is created, the insults continue even if the memory is erased. And we continue apologizing to each other.

I sent the save data a long time ago, but it's still not resolved. I can't use my family's recipes either because of the internal negative sentiments.

Is there a way to deal with this on the console? I'm really stuck. Please help.

  • There's a hidden moodlet "near unfriendly" that never goes away. This has been around for a very long time. It causes Sims to have "unfriendly" interactions with each other. It predates sentiments.

I first noticed it way back when we got DU. Two BFF Sims went to different Universities . One taunted the other and that was it for the rest of their lives. They always had the "apology" in their menus and left alone would behave badly towards each other.

I have never found a way to get rid of it. No mod or cheat has been able to delete it.

  • This was a vanilla game, but I added UI Cheats to illustrate the hidden "near unfriendly" moodlet.

In this case Titus blackmailed Geoffrey  so it's deserved, but it can be annoying when Sims preform autonomous mean interactions and then they're stuck for life with the hidden "near unfriendly" moodlet no matter how often they apologize.
