I have been creating a new vampire sim using the tattoo function from Businesses & Hobbies. I have created a tattoo that I only want the sim to wear in his dark form, and it allows me to do this in CAS, but as soon as I go to live mode, it has either disappeared, or shows in both the dark form and the normal form!
Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted title a bit to reflect that there might be multiple issues with occults and tattooing. Not adding pack tags as it would be > 3
Would be good if you could test other occults too.
I have been painting custom tattoos in CAS mode the past few days and have found that if the main form has the tattoo, the other will "take it on" when placed into CAS. I create a fairy with each form having different tattoos and upload to the gallery. But if I place it into CAS, the tattoo on the main sim form takes over the alternate form tattoo. Same happened with my alien tattoos. Have not tested Vampires or Mermaids. On PC. Mods removed.
I also am having this issue. I don't use any mods or cc. Its been happening with all my occult sims with 2 forms so far and also occasionally when I'm in cas with a regular sim too. I'll change a hairstyle or tattoo, and then when I come back to that category a little bit later it'll be one of the random things I tried on previously again.
Ive experienced this with nearly every occult. Including the new fairies

Recently I’ve been making a lot of vampire sims and using the paint tattoo feature on their dark form to give them extra flourishes. When first making the sim in CAS you can set them having different tattoos for their normal and dark forms and switching between both forms while editing them works how intended. However, after setting up the 2 separate tattoos and either importing them from the Gallery or going into Live Mode the tattoos are replaced by the tattoo they have on their normal form or vise versa, when you go back to CAS after it happens in Live mode the other custom tattoo is now gone. You can replace the missing tattoo in case and it shows them having different tattoos for each form, but as soon as I go back into live mode or import one of my sims from the gallery one of the tattoos are replaced by the other
If you cannot have 2 separate tattoos for both Vampire forms then it should be made more clear and have it so you’re not able to set 2 different tattoos when first editing the sim
