Thumbnails regenerate with every session

I have had this issue since I started playing last year (2024). I have all the DLC except Batuu and I play on Windows. The game is installed via Steam on a seperate drive from the OS, so theoretically that could be an issue.

Almost every time I start the game, the Manage household portraits have to reload from scratch. The social menu thumbnails also have to reload within Live mode. It gets rather annoying because it takes a while.

I have a feeling that the game is not closing properly, so the thumbnails are getting lost or corrupted.

I have the same problem. In addition, the game stutter a lot when it loads thumbnails from the relationship panel every time I start the game and that I open this panel for the first time in the session, that's very annoying.

I still have this issue, particularly when changing outfits, the thumbnails randomly reset several times within the same session. I utilise all available outfit slots, which generates a lot of downtime for me while waiting for them to reload. And I'm unable to do other tasks in the meantime because the game stutters during the thumbnail reload process.

this issue genuinely slows down the game SO much, it's not seemingly save specific and occurs across all saves and ESPECIALLY the gallery for me, my library has to reload every portrait after every game launch. CC makes loading households and sims specifically slower of course, but it shouldn't have to reload these portraits every 5 minutes in game to begin with.
