Issue: When Sims read a book from the Tiny Living SP "Media Marathoner" and "Media Marathoner All-on-the-wall" devices, the books do not properly unload from the Sim when task is complete; the Sim will complain about a pathing issue (bubble above head, waving arm) and the book will be placed on the floor. The Sim will continue to hold their hand up as if holding a book, but will carry on with autonomy. Some actions will continuously cancel (IE: Sim will go to bed, and immediately wake up, in a loop) while others will complete fine in this state.
This does not happen with other bookshelves or collections of books, only the two TV/radio/bookshelf combos from Tiny Living.
To solve the problem, enable testing cheats and right-click the affected Sim, click "reset object". This will clear the limbo state and reset the animation. It will also remove the book from the floor.
How to trigger the issue: Use the mentioned items to read a book. and have your Sim sit on something like a couch or armchair. Cancel the action in the Sim action queue, or let the action time out naturally.
Expected result: The Sim puts the book away (or places it on a surface to be click-dragged back to the shelf), and reverts to normal pose.
Actual outcome: The Sim complains about pathing issues, places the book on the floor, and continues the book-holding pose. The book cannot be click-dragged back to the bookshelf.
Quirk: I noticed this doesn't happen if the Sim sits at a desk, dining table or kitchen island - only if they sit on something like a couch, outdoor bench, the side of a bed, or an armchair to read the book. Sitting at a table/surface works without issue.
I first noticed this issue a few weeks prior to the launch of Enchanted by Nature, perhaps 2-3 game versions ago.
It is a constant issue, it happens on any save file and in any world/lot, with any family/member of the family.
Image provided is an example of the pose left behind after the book is placed down. The pose will continue until you reset the sim.
