Townie Outfit Generator Creates Incoherent/ Mismatched Clothing Combinations

I have this issue, but my pre made townies from myself started randomly generating outfits and wearing them 

I truly believe the biggest QOL update they could make to TS4 is to implement better filters for the randomly generated townies. 

Why must they always spawn in the ugliest outfit combinations, and why must they always share the same few face templates and cool skin tones?

It’s so immersion-breaking.

I'm seeing this, too. The odd pairings seem to be some type of situational outfit because the outfit isn't present in any of the outfit categories in CAS when I attempt to change it.

It's not just the townies. When my sims age up to be YAs good outfits are rare. The mismatched clothes, the nose rings, the godawful makeup, the gloves with rings on top of them, the sunglasses in the winter or any glasses on a formal or party outfit, are particular peeves of mine.

The worst of it is the Summer and Winter outfits: townies will wear ALL the accessories, including piercings. "Just popping in a nose ring for the cold weather and putting on gloves for this heatwave" - Sims townies, apparently.

It also would be great if the game didn't assign situational outfits to sims that are in "my households" category, as they all have their outfits set. It's really annoying to have spent time to arrange how your sims look only for the game to completely ignore it.

One solution would be more "styled options" and the townies outfits would generate from that. 

It would be fantastic if we could create our own styled outfits or limit the items that townies use when generating outfits (in CAS turn items off being used for townies, have items for player choice only).  I'm sick of townies generating with all makeup styles, mismatch outfits and clothing that has been tagged incorrectly.  Recently upon age up my townie teen sims have been generating with the most ridiculous makeup that does not go with their outfit, it doesn't appear teenager either.  I shouldn't have to feel like I need to makeover every townie because their outfits are mismatched and don't go together (or delete them depending on how much effort or lack thereof I want to put into fixing their outfits).  

i have resorted to mods to fix this issue. randomly generated townies are the worst and aren’t even funny to me anymore. i wish they only wore certain outfit combinations and weren’t always wearing weird makeup/accessories.
