crinrict what do you mean by complete folder rename? Does this mean taking out my current save folder and allowing a new one to generate with a new game? Haven't done that but willing to try it or whatever it is you mean.

yes, that's what I mean
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

I did this and there is NO error. I played for about 10 minutes and did the things that triggers the error in my usual game.
When I was playing last night I noticed that the error/glitch on the skill panel happens when my sims open the Vampire encycolpedia book. I deleted all the books and bought new ones and it still was happening. It only stopped when I made my sim go work on another skill. But it happens for each new sim (child, teen or adult) when acquiring the vampire skill. I'm playing the 100 baby challenge so it was a skill all sims worked on.
Do I have to start over? 😥
Does it do the same on a new save when you open the vampire encyclopedia book too or just in your save ?
Do you need any instructions putting your stuff back ?
I figured out how to put stuff back, thank you.
The save is now in this new Sims 4 Folder and is happening again but was not happening to the brand new save I played yesterday.
The only other things I can think of with the vampire book is that they are in a tiny house and in a club, both of which makes their skills develop faster. I'm going to test in a normal house w no active club and see if that helps.
If that doesn't work I'll save all households I want to keep and delete the saves and just keep my tray and see if that'll fix it.
