Unable to select traits in CAS

Did you manage to see what was going on????

Ever since I installed the new Enchanted by Nature pack, I cannot select my sim’s traits in CAS. I have all the packs installed. I’ve repaired the game, removed all mods/cc (gshade still installed though i can’t see how that would affect my game), and loaded a clean user folder. None of those things worked. 

I have just purchased the newest expansion pack and now my create a sims panel is not fully downloading. I have deleted all my mods as well as uninstalling and reinstalling my sims 4 game. I am still unable to pick my sims traits after doing all these steps . 

Helpppppp..... I can not pick traits for my sims in the create a sims mode. I recently just brought the newest pack that has come out this is how is how realized the traits are not work. I have no mods and I also have uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well. I don't know what i need to do now because it is affecting my game play. 

Hello, I'm from the french community and i have the same problem.

I managed to have them visible by creating a Sim story and changing the traits when the Sim is created. It doesn't fix the problem but that's all I could do. I tried everything and that's the only thing that " worked "

Yellowhood​  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see whether CAS is fixed.

Thank you @puzzleadict but the problem somehow has solved it’s self but if it happens again I’ll try that next time

I have been experiencing the same issue for a while. (I'm on a laptop and have no mods installed.) Whenever I create a new household the traits don't show up and I can't select them.

I haven't found a solution, but some possible workarounds:

1. Create your sim as usual and click Randomize traits. Once you have them on a lot, type testingcheats on and cas.fulleditmode in cheats, shift+click on your sim and select Edit in CAS. When you load into CAS, the traits should now appear and you can delete them and choose different ones. The problem with this solution is that during gameplay, your sim will still occasionally get moodlets from the deleted traits.
2. Randomize a placeholder sim and proceed the same as in option 1. When you go back into CAS, click on Add sim, make the household you actually wanted and delete the placeholder.

It's a lot of extra work though, so I hope someone can figure out how to fix the bug.

If you don't want to do all of this, you can also add a sim through Story mode. It's not perfect, but it might get you close enough. Alternatively, embrace the chaos and play with randomized traits 😁

it just happened to me just now
