Unable to select traits in CAS

I have the same issue, and I've tried everything mentioned in this thread. I moved my mods out, deleted the localthumbcache, moved The Sims 4 file out of my desktop and tried with a completely new game, and the traits are still gone. I've had this for weeks and idk what to do anymore. I can fix the issue by creating a Sim through the story feature, but that doesn't work on saves where I've already created a Sim household and am trying to create another household for the same save file.

Hi, I've experienced this issue before once but I don't know how it seemed to resolve itself.
The issue has popped up again and I removed all mods, thinking that a broken mod was the issue but the issue seemed to be the game itself.
I then attempted a repair and removed my Sims 4 folder but the issue persists. 
Trying a last resort, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, hoping that would fix the issue but still when I opened the game up, the traits panel wasn't showing up. Not sure what else I can try. 

Any help would be appreciated!

So I don’t know what’s going on with my game when I get on the game   And want to the create a sim those three missing traits slots are missing and I don’t know because my name is broken so Sims, can you please help me? 

I'd be interested in any responses as this sometime happens to me.  I haven't worked out why it sometimes happens but not always.

Yesterday I bought Growing Together and now when I try to create a sim, the traits will not show up. Please help!!!

I have the same issue and tried all the same solutions. If it was resolved for you, please tell me how!

I've had this issue for awhile. I've disabled all mods and cc, repaired the game, started a new save and still have this bug. I tend to have to exit cas and re enter cas repeatedly until traits show up.

It started this year for me too, I can generate random traits but it's really not practical if I don't know what they are until I start playing 

A work around that I've been using for about 7 months that works for me is before I change the sim in anyway check if the traits are there usually first go around its no exit to the main menu and then go back to create a sim traits will be there again, I have never tried it on a previous save game but it's at least a little work around.
