Unable to select traits in CAS

i will try this out! that’s like the only thing i haven’t tried and i’m desperate LOL

Hi, I have the same issue and I don't know the solution directly but this is what I do to have my sims so they have the traits I wanted: I randomize the traits so I can create the sim, then in game I press alt+ctrl+c and type testingcheats true, then cas.fulleditmode, Shift click the sim then you'll be able to see and change the cas traits

And before anyone tells me to troubleshoot, clear cache, repair game, update my computer, delete EA and redownload it, get rid of old files and force my computer to make new ones… i’ve done EVERYTHING and yet nothing is fixing the issue. i just wanna play the game, man… it’s been like this for like a year straight.

if anyone knows anything i can do to resolve this please let me know, but keep in mind i’ve done everything they usually tell you to do when you reach out to support.

Same I thought it was one of the mods I was using so I deleted all of them and tried opening my game without my mods to see if it worked. I still had the issue so I decided to delete my entire game to see if it may have been a file that was in my folder which I had been missing which was created as a result to one of my mods but again that didn't solve my issue either. Unfortunately it is just another bug from the game which doesn't get fixed. Starting to get really frustrated now as it's been going on for months now maybe even a year.

ok after researching into it further I've found in a Reddit post's comments suggestions that it might've been DirectX11 that's causing this for some reason. so I've disabled it and it's back to normal, even with mods, idk why it's doing it right now.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all expansions, all game packs, all stuff packs but My First Pet and kits such as Secret Sanctuary, Artist Studio, Storybook Nursery, Riviera Retreat, Castle Estate, Goth Galore, Book Nook, Grunge Revival, Basement Treasures, Greenhouse Haven, Simtimates Collection, Little Campers, Moonlight Chic, Decor to the Max, Carnaval Streetwear, Blooming Rooms, Fashion Street, Courtyard Oasis, Coutry Kitchen, Essential Glam, Kitchen Clutter, Sleek Bathroom, Cozy Bistro, Modern Luxe, Desert Luxe and Country Kitchen.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? choose the "new save" option to get into CAS (or just go into CAS, I'm not sure if it does the same on active saves)
What happens when the bug occurs? when I decided to start a new save the traits UI won't appear. thinking this must be a mod causing this I took them out gradually until all of them were out of the mod folder, yet the issue persists no matter what. from another player's suggestion I uninstalled my game before reinstalling it then putting my game folder containing my savefiles back (without the mods, mind you). once I did all of that the traits UI in CAS was back to normal, until I pu back ONE mod (Helgatisha's Stand Still in CAS mod to be specific) just for the issue being brought back and not showing up again even with no mods on just like it was before uninstalling the game.
What do you expect to see? to get the traits UI back.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I did at first but the bug persists even after removing the mods.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? not that I know of.
