when I pull up my cell phone and choose to take a vacation day from the mortician job it's not available/ Not there. Help?

I started a new save with a sim working in the undertaker career. I have 6 vacation days available but the option to take one isn't on the phone. I think it might be the same for the reaper career.
In my experience, the reaper career actually functions properly; it's only the undertaker career that doesn't give the option to take vacation days.
