Child sim was taken away from original family by social work and per the update went into the household gallery - I placed with a new family as foster parents but now playing as this family the children are greyed out and I cannot play from their POV, although the adults can interact with them.
Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title to fit old bug report.
I updated the game a few days ago. I don't have any mods or anything weird, and I'm still getting the same "social services" or "wrongful death" error. It's impossible to play like this. I hope EA doesn't release updates that fix two things but break five.
Community ManagerCommunity ManagerWe investigated the issue where Infant, Toddler, and Children Sims could not be played once merged with other Households after having been taken away. We were able to verify that at some point in the past it was fixed in a previous update.
Fixed in a prior patch
