Write Song / Book / Lyrics Loses Progress

Both on PC and PS5

This also has been happening with DJ songs and pipe organ 

I just kept some progress on a singing song in progress as a werewolf in human/Sim form.

While making a Mix-a-Lot Tape on a DJ booth I kept my progress. Kept my progress even after my normal sim's booth burned down and they caught fire. 

This also happens to me as well. My Sims never have any issues when it comes to writing books, but for some reason I cannot resume writing a song. My Sim is in the Musician career track - I haven't tried writing songs with other Sims really - I only recently discovered this issue as I had never completed the Musician career track before.  I was getting frustrated because I couldn't understand why it was taking forever, and then when I opened up the Sim's inventory, had noticed there was like 5 versions of the song (which I thought he had just been writing one the whole time, lawls). I had assumed that he was just continuing to write, cause the option of 'Resume Writing Song' wasn't ever prompted - and so didn't question it really, but then was confused why it was taking him so long to complete the task, when my other Sim (his mom) was whipping out books left, right, and centre. I haven't found this issue with other hobbies so far, although I'm generally a slow explorer with the game. I don't play with any mods or cc ever. Hope we can figure out this issue. Cheers!

I have this issue with songwriting on any instrument. My Sim could be writing/playing for a several Sim hours and then stop because a Need has to be fulfilled. And then if I click on the song booklet on their inventory, I can select continue writing, but the progress bar for that interaction starts at the beginning again, and then it takes forever for them to write the song.

It also irks me that we cannot tell which songs a Sim has in progress in their Inventory. Like if they have multiple different songs in progress, the little booklets all look the same, aren’t broken down by instrument, and don’t even show you the type of song they’re writing.

I’m on a Mac with no CC/mods.

I'm having troubles where if my sim wants to create her own song on her instruments. She can't leave the lot until it is completely finished. Which is frustrating as is because it takes forever to complete one song. The progress will reset if i decide to go to another lot. 

For me, I noticed recently the resetting on write song (With all instruments + micro) was affected just when I move in another ground. It's like if all activities in work progress on this ground was reset/erased. But, if I keep in my ground, my Sims can go to work and the reset is not present when I resume it.
But it's annoying when you want to play in a bar or another place to win Simflouz. It's not funny to compose a music in one shot or in your home, without visitors.

For me it's when I leave the lot. When I leave with my sim and come back, my progress on books, songs, and lyrics restart.
