Writer: Specific Sims not getting promoted

Career layoff is not working properly. My sim has all the skill for promotion, and their performance is excellent, but when the career layoff is on, they won't get promotion, in fact, nothing happens...

Are they getting promoted when you turn the option on ?

  No. It doesn't matter that the option is on or off, my sim doesn't get promotion.

    Does it matter what career your Sim is in ? Do you have multiple Sims in the household and does it not work for all of them ?
