Ideas
I've had this happen in multiple saves, seemingly at random. I click on "Continue Writing", and it sits in the cue just long enough for the sim to sit down before disappearing. I've tried reloading into the lot and closing out the game all together, but it seems that once a book is bugged, there is nothing to be done except to scrap it and start from scratch.
