Writer's Block moodlet not showing/Sims refuse to write for no reason

Hello, I understand that this is a resolved thread, however this is happening again.  This was not a fault of mine 2 months ago, but appears to be now.  My Sim is creative, so, a want, to finish a book pops up.  I write a book, but it never materialise, and they can never finish it, it keeps stating resume book.

Shall I start a new bug report? or can you reopen and check if there is a bug present, you state repair the game, my game is UpToDate, and no need for repairs.

Interestingly the finish a book want goes once I tell them to scrap the book.

    Hello crinrict, Weirdly, I played on Sunday (6/04/2025) and it worked just fine.  Thought I would try again today, as just saw your post and would mention that all is good, however, its doing it again.  I would send a pic, but it does not give much, as it just disappears (the action), the computer makes a loading sound and then goes away.  That's about it.

    I think with it being okay one day and then not another there is something weird going on, I will have a look to see if the game needs repairing.  (Another side note action to water plants also disappears mainly when off lot)

    I have no mods or cc.

    For me too. Never had this problem before today. And I removed all mods, vanilla game, still the same issue.

    UPDATE: I removed mods, and localcache and repaired the game. My sim finally finished the fours books on hold.

    Hi Chellepie360 

    It was just marked as resolved as OP never came back.

    • Are you using mods/cc ?
    • Could you post a picture of your queue and where it says resume book ? There is still a known issue where the progress resets when you resume.
    • Repairing the game helps with issues even if your game is up-to-date.
